App privacy policy
Last updated: November 3, 2026
This policy covers the Daily Word Puzzles app, made by Sunrise Puzzles. The website has its own privacy policy. No account is needed to play, and the app never asks for your name or email address.
Saved on your device
Your progress, coins, hints, boosters and settings are stored on your device. Your phone may include them in its iCloud or Google backup, depending on your settings. We cannot see these backups. Deleting the app removes this data from your device.
Puzzles and gift codes
The app connects to our server to download puzzles and to check gift codes you enter. Our hosting provider processes basic connection information, such as your IP address, to deliver puzzles and keep the service secure. Our server is in the United States.
Usage analytics
We use GameAnalytics to see how the app is played and to fix problems. It receives a random ID created by the app, general information about your device and app (such as model, operating system, app version, language and approximate country), and how you play (such as puzzles started and completed, items earned and used, and error reports).
It never receives your name, email address, precise location, your guesses or an advertising ID. We don't use analytics for advertising. GameAnalytics handles this data under its privacy policy.
You can turn analytics off anytime with Share usage data in Settings > Privacy & terms. This stops future collection; it does not delete data already sent.
Reminders
Daily reminders are scheduled on your device and only appear if you allow notifications. You can turn them off in Settings or in your device's settings.
Purchases and ratings
Purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play. We never receive your payment details. Rating requests are shown by Apple or Google, and we don't learn who rated the app.
What we don't do
The app has no ads. We don't sell your data, share it for advertising, or track you across other apps and websites.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to its use, or complain to a data protection authority. Analytics data is not linked to your name or email address, so the only way to find yours is the Analytics ID shown in Settings > Privacy & terms. If you want your analytics data deleted, copy that ID and email it to us, and we will ask GameAnalytics to delete the data stored under it. For other privacy questions, contact support@dailywordpuzzles.co.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above.
